Open-source project focuses on IoT security and trust

With any edge computing and IoT project, security is an issue. If you have read some of our previous blog posts, you know how serious we are about this topic, and it is always a primary focus when we work on projects with clients.

So it definitely caught our attention when the Linux Foundation launched Project Alvarium. The goal of this initiative is to “build intrinsic trust into networks” by assigning a confidence score to IoT projects based on the number of trust insertion technologies used. The project is still in the very early stages (and you can learn more about it here), but several big names in the IoT and edge computing space have already expressed their support. We are excited to see what Project Alvarium will bring to the table when it comes to improving the trust and security of data exchange at the edge.
