In recent news, Sigfox and Google Cloud announced a partnership to enable Sigfox to scale its cloud infrastructure and broaden its offerings of IoT services.
Sigfox is an LPWAN service provider that offers low-power, low-cost connectivity to IoT devices. It is used by many industries, from transportation and shipping to agriculture. The company had been searching for a way to scale its offerings in response to the massive increase in IoT devices in recent years. The partnership with Google Cloud will not only support the increased demand, but will also add improved reliability and security to the Sigfox service.
The expanded capabilities that Sigfox will now be able to offer will certainly be a draw to companies requiring low-power and low-cost IoT applications.
